Used to be, once upon a time, that when Zynga somehow messed up and negatively impacted one's game, CS not only would fix it for you without a hassle, but also typically gave some compensation.
Wow, has the pendulum ever swung the other way.
Now, when you have a problem, you only get access to Customer Service if you happen to have done whatever needs doing to trip the switch so that you will have it.
The suggestion is that only paying players have access - but the reality is that many paying players do not.
Now, we're supposed to use spam central and tell our Farmville problems to other players who can't do a blessed thing about them. The only response most posts get there is sorry, can't help you .... and/or hey, log in here and I'll steal your username and password (posts which Zynga mostly ignores and allows to remain now that they have a notice at the top telling all us really stupid people how to use the support site safely... i.e. not to get suckered into such lame spam attempts).
In any case, some of us - me included - do actually continue to have access to Zynga's CS agents. Unfortunately, they don't actually HAVE any any more. Now what they have are "Player Advocates" - and their role seems to be to piss off players by refusing to fix anything; refuse to refund the FC Zynga developers have, in their infinite stupidity, set the game to steal from players at every turn; and for added measure, call paying customers liars and cheats.
Even going through the BBB doesn't help - they just keep sending emails asking for more information until the BBB process expires and it tells you you just refused "their final offer" and no further action is required. Except, of course, that they don't actually MAKE any offers at all - they just keep asking for the same information you've given them over and over.
Whole thing is a joke.... Zynga is a company that is determined to fail and if you have any stock in them, you REALLY should sell.
There is no hope whatsoever for a company that is willing to lose a long standing loyal paying player by first stealing, then refusing to return 32 FC. For about $6 - even if I had bought it at full price, which I have not done since they started to steal FC from players every time I blink - they have lost my $10/month subscription plus whatever I would typically spend every time they offer a 40% off sale.... an average of about $50/month.
Wise business decision, eh?
Sell a product ... then steal it back... and when the customer complains, call her a liar and make her jump through stupid hoops for a couple of weeks then tell her again that she's a liar and a cheat and you're just fine without her business.
Hell of a business model you've got there, Zynga.
How many feet DO you have to shoot yourself in? Time for a new logo...a millipede, I think.

Again with the price-gouging
More new trees this week - and again, different players, for no discernable rhyme nor reason, have different prices.
The bur oak is - for me, 8 FC. But other players can buy it for 4, 10, or even 12FC.
So - this test is what? To see exactly how stupid/addicted to our trees we are?
Newsflash - for those of us who are serious collectors, pulling this crap only results in people walking away.
If I can't (won't) be able to keep collecting the trees, I won't bother to continue playing - and I am far from the only one. Check out the forums, why don't you?
How is this good business? How does it support your IPO?
The fact that you are so intent on shooting yourselves in the foot (how many feet DO you have?) is not likely to impress investors (speaking as a potential purchaser of stock).

Price Gouging
Did Zynga think that no one would notice?
You would think that by now they would know that farmville players are often ~social~ ... it is a social game, after all.
People are (rightly) perturbed to find out that there are different prices for the new pink hanging flower tree. I paid 7FV$ for each of the 3 I purchased. Others are able to buy it for 3, or 5 FV$ - and for some, it is as high as 8 or 10 FV$.
Everyone's purple hanging flower tree seems to be priced at 15 FV$ - but since that one is a level 2 and can be grown in the orchards, few of us bother to buy level 2 trees anyway; no one cares.
The price variances on the other tree are extremely irksome though! How is Zynga deciding who to offer the cheapest prices? Are those of us who actually support the game by buying FV$ being punished? It wouldn't be the first time - people who don't cough up actual money, or who do so only rarely, are often offered discounts and special offers that those who already buy are not. Nice way to say thank you, innit?
Anyway, now I am perturbed. I would not have bought the trees at 7 if I had known others were being offered them for 3...at the very least I would have checked my kids' accounts to see if they have the lower prices and bought them from there.
I feel ripped off, Zynga. Was that your intent?
Why don't you like your players, Zynga? Would you like us all to bugger off and go away? If you succeed at that goal, who is going to pay your bills, do you think? DO you think?
Honestly, so often this year, it seems as though people at Zynga are just determined to sink the whole company. I suspect that some of the people they picked up in their various mergers did not embrace the change....and I KNOW that there are altogether too many among them that think that all farmville players are idiots.
Maybe we are.
Or maybe it is the people who are pissing off the people that pay the bills that are the idiots?
How many diehard tree collectors do you have to lose before it starts to affect your bottom line, Zynga? It seems like you've succeeded in losing yet another batch. You do understand that once someone gets irked and stops collecting, they stop spending money, right? Apparently not - you did it with horses ...and now with the trees. Well done! DUH.
Suggestion:
People who don't want to see Zynga succeed should not be working for Zynga.
People who do not respect the players should not be working for Zynga.
And quit messing with the prices: be fair.
